Great screencast - hope you do more like this! But for those coding along at home the permalink link_to should read: <%= link_to "Permalink", :action => "show", :id => post%> The id was missing! ;-)

Hello Ash. You are correct! There is an error in the screencast. Thank you for providing the correct code in your comment. The tutorial for this screencast is here http://www.netbeans.org/kb/60/ruby/rapid-ruby-weblog.html and the tutorial also has the correct code. I'll patch the screencast and re-post it. Thank you -Cindy

Great, Netbeans 6 with Ruby on Rails is really a big hit. Ruby has a great potential and with Netbeans, now there is a nice IDE witch helps a lot in doing fast Ruby on Rails application development. About the screencast: Well maybe sometimes you have tried to be to quick. But it gives a good look about the features of the IDE, so this little mistake may be forgivn. Cheers Karl-Heinz Reng Reng-EDV Germany

Hi Mohan, Thank you for your comment. The Mixing Ruby and Java screencast might give you more information about CRUD operations: http://netbeans.tv/interviews/Tor-Norbye-Mixes-Ruby-and-Java-Development-Using-NetBeans-151/ Thanks, Cindy

Great, complex technology made simple and quick, as NetBeans has evolved! Well, next cue for a great tutorial could be instead of scaffloding, tailor made CRUD operations.
