vinay, there is a problem with a tomcat configuration, and to initialize your session properly you have to add the following code to your web.xml : com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener

alternative plugin for eclipse much more powerful where is designer for mapping files? why we have to write beans by hands? why dont u generate them from database or mapping files?

The full screen mode of these videos does not work neither with Opera nor with Mozilla. It is extremely ridicolous for a "developer site" not to be able to integrate flash video correctly. That shows the typical java problem - so much abstraction and theory, that you do not get the job done.

Hi folks, Thanks for the comments. For 6.5, hibernate is included in the builds so no need to download a plugin. If it isn't there in the milestone/daily builds wait for beta, it'll definitely be there. Beta should be going out sometime early this week. Lukazs, since this tutorial is using POJOs and not entity classes, you can't use the generation feature. As I said in the screencast, 6.5 has a feature that lets you generate POJOs and HBMs from a database, like the auto-generation of entity classes now works. Golpodango, could you send us your operating system and browser version?

Hi Alexander, try the instructions in this tutorial: http://www.netbeans.org/kb/61/web/hibernate-vwp.html it's the same steps, just easier to follow along with if you're trying to recreate the app yourself.
