Well, today is a national holiday in Turkey - they are celebrating by hanging enormous flags everywhere and importing the president from Ankara. Due to this, we have not been able, thus far, to make any contact with the Sun team here in town who we hoped might advise us on the next leg of our trip. Yesterday we took it well easy, as the Aussies would have it. We walked about 15km - from Sultanahmet up to Taksim, then to Ortakoy. The entire city has changed so quickly from what Martin and I remember, but it was great to see these slightly more out of the way areas. I hope you’ll agree ;-) We’ve settled on a plan after a long phone call with Rob last night. It looks like SOME of the pressure is off for the moment. He cooled down and basically told us that we just have to get the CDs down to Palestine and deliver them - no time constraints. It’s still tricky, since none of the guys we are supposed to deliver to have any contact other than an address, but we’ll get there. We’ve organized a bus ride to the city of Alanya. From there, we’ll take a mini-bus to the port of Tasucu. A ferry leaves for Cyprus daily from there and we have some great contacts down there from Sun who we’ll be stopping in to visit. Thanks for all your comments - except for Joey, of course ;-) Keep ‘em coming! We’ll be out of touch for a couple of days - I don’t think the buses have WiFi, but you never know in Turkey… Next stop, Alanya, Inshallah!
